Anna Lister,
Art Education in Malvern
What is CreatEd?
CreatEd supports young people who are unable to attend mainstream education due to SEND or mental health challenges, offering a range of accredited and non-accredited Arts courses, including GCSE and A Level Art, Photography, and Textiles. Using trauma-informed practice and a therapeutic teaching approach, we help hundreds of children each year achieve academic success while rebuilding confidence and a sense of possibility beyond traditional education pathways. We are an approved alternative provision for Worcestershire and surrounding councils.
About our Expert
Anna launched CreatEd after over a decade working as both Head of Art and Housemistress in various leading independent schools. Her pastoral experience and postgraduate research sparked a particular interest in the transformative role of the Arts for neurodiverse learners and young people experiencing mental health challenges.
As an adoptive parent, Anna is fully trauma-informed, and this deeply influences her teaching approach. Far too many children are let down by the current education system, and Anna is passionate about supporting these children in recognising their potential.
Anna proudly holds these following credential:
- BA Hons Fine Art (First Class)
- PGCE Art & Design Secondary
- MSc Child & Adolescent Mental Health
