Brian Nyanhongo,
Shona Sculptor in Malvern
What is Shona Sculpture?
Shona stone carving is one of Africa’s most celebrated artistic traditions, originating with the Shona people of Zimbabwe. Using stones such as soapstones, verdite, springstone and opal stone, artists carve stories reflecting spirituality, everyday life and emotionality.
